Dan and Dave Hughes had a vision to take their talents and combine them to create a kitchen and bathroom remodeling business. In 1998 that dream became reality when Capital Kitchen & Bath was born. They started out in a small space on Pleasant Street Extension which they quickly outgrew. Today they are serving clients in the homey showroom they created after completely refurbishing an old New Englander on Hall Street.
Daniel Hughes started his career as a finish carpenter eventually starting his own construction company specializing in remodeling and cabinet installation. His love for finish cabinetry, remodeling and cabinetry grew into starting Capital Kitchen & Bath. In 1986 David Hughes worked as an architectural drafter for a small construction company. He began installing kitchens during the summer of 1991 and shortly after desired to take his design passion into the kitchen and bath industry joining his brother at Capital Kitchen & Bath. david@capitalkitchenandbath.com
Danette Akey comes to us with over ten years of experience in space and interior design with three years specializing in kitchen and bath design through 2020. Danette has a great eye for space and color coordination to add to your design experience. She is committed to design excellence and innovation while striving to ensure her inspired solutions exceed client expectations.
